Flame Retardants are additives used in plastics and rubber to reduce flammability and prevent or slow fire spread. Different types of flame retardants are used, each with its chemical mechanisms and benefits. Some commonly used flame retardants in plastics and rubber include Zinc Borate, Phosphates, Aluminum Trihydrate, and Magnesium Hydroxide.
