Concrete Admixture Accelerators
Concrete admixture accelerator additives are chemical additives added to the concrete mix that can make concrete stronger, more durable, and more resistant to corrosion, cracking, and other types of damage. They are used when the concrete needs to cure quickly, such as in cold weather conditions or when a project requires a quick turnaround time.
Several types of concrete admixture accelerators exist, including Aluminum Sulfate, Calcium Chloride, Calcium Nitrate, Sodium Nitrate, Sodium Thiocyanate, Sodium Silicate, Sodium Thiosulfate, and Potassium Carbonate.
The benefits of using concrete admixture accelerators include improved early strength to reach its desired strength faster than without an accelerator. By accelerating the chemical reactions in the concrete mix, the setting time of the concrete can be reduced, allowing for quicker finishing and placement.
