Greases & Lubricants

Greases are designed to provide high protection against wear and extreme pressure conditions. They are typically used in machinery, automotive applications, and industrial equipment. Additives are substances added to grease to enhance its properties and performance.

The following are some of the commonly used additives in grease manufacturing. The addition of Lithium Hydroxide (LiOH), Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2), and Bismuth Sulfate (Bi2(SO4)3) to the grease formulation can enhance its performance and extend the lifespan of the equipment. These additives are typically categorized as anti-wear, extreme pressure, or viscosity index improvers. Adding Stearic Acid and Sebacic Acid to the grease formulation can enhance its performance and provide corrosion protection to the equipment. These additives are typically categorized as acid-type thickeners and corrosion inhibitors.
