Foaming Agent

Foaming agents are commonly used as additives in the manufacturing process of plasterboard (gypsum board, drywall). These agents introduce air into the mixture, creating a foam that helps improve the final product’s properties.

Foaming agents reduce the mixture’s surface tension, allowing air to be incorporated into the mix more easily. This creates a foam that helps reduce the mixture’s density, thus reducing the board’s weight and improving its insulating properties.
