Retarders

Concrete Set retarders such as citric acid, tartaric acid, potassium sodium tartrate, and potassium bitartrate are commonly used in cement-based products to slow down the setting process, which allows for more extended workability time, and more accessible application is used in Dry-mix applications and products including mortars, self-leveling screeds and underlayment, and other cement-based applications.

These additives are beneficial in hot weather conditions or where extended workability time and ease of application are required. By using set retarders, contractors can achieve better control over the setting time of the product, resulting in better quality and more efficient construction projects.
