  This type of cement is used when the concrete or mortar is exposed to sulfate ions in the soil or water. It contains a low amount of Tricalcium Aluminate (C3A) responsible for sulfate attacks. The cement gains strength more slowly than other types of cement, but it is more durable and resistant to sulfate attack.
