Lithium Carbonate
-
In dry-mix construction, Lithium Carbonate is added to the mix to decrease the setting time and improve the concrete’s compressive strength and water resistance. Lithium Carbonate is typically used as an accelerator in Dry-mix concrete systems, especially when HAC (High Alumina Cements), also called CAC (Calcium Aluminate Cements), is present.
The addition of Lithium Carbonate to concrete mixtures can decrease the concrete’s setting time, making construction faster, especially in cold weather conditions. Furthermore, Lithium Carbonate can enhance the concrete’s compressive strength and water resistance, leading to a more durable final product, making it more resistant to damage from weathering and other types of wear and tear.
