Stearic Acid

  • Stearic Acid is a commonly used additive in the manufacture of EP (extreme pressure) and other types of grease. Because Stearic Acid is a long-chain fatty acid, it is used as a thickener in grease manufacturing. It forms a stable and uniform structure of grease. Stearic Acid-based greases have good water resistance and high shear stability. They are commonly used in general-purpose applications such as automotive, industrial, and marine equipment.
